Within the Committee's main market yard, various facilities have been established, including an office building, a check post, a cement compound wall, a well, a borewell, a cold water facility (with a freezer) for farmers' drinking needs, fully electronic weighing scales, a 50-metric-ton capacity weighbridge (Dharam Kanta), five auction sheds, a water tank for livestock, an electrical system, a 200-metric-ton capacity warehouse, a ticker board, a suggestion/complaint box, restrooms, proper flooring, and a power generator, among others. Furthermore, at the Committee's market yard in Mandhal, the construction of a 1,000-metric-ton capacity warehouse has been completed, and agricultural produce belonging to farmers and traders is currently being stored there on a rental basis.
The site at Kuhi was officially declared a sub-market of the Committee on May 19, 2005. Since then, the Committee has constructed a 200-metric-ton capacity warehouse and an access road; additionally, through government assistance, a well, internal roads, restrooms, and urinals have been constructed. Furthermore, wire fencing has been erected along two sides of the Committee's premises, while the fencing for the remaining two sides is yet to be completed. Over the past four years, the Committee has successfully initiated both a cotton market and a grain market at the Kuhi sub-market, and it is currently receiving substantial cooperation from the farming community. Due to a lack of independent funds, the Committee faces difficulties in providing additional facilities. Nevertheless, during the 2017-18 fiscal year, the Committee constructed a 50-metric-ton capacity weighbridge, and weighing operations are currently being conducted on this scale. The construction of an auction platform measuring 9x12 meters—complete with an overhead shed—is nearing completion. Additionally, during the current fiscal year, the construction of another structure measuring 40x22.50 meters is underway. The Committee intends to undertake flooring work at the site mentioned below, and the tender process for this project is currently underway. Furthermore, approval has been granted for the construction of the 'Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Shetkari Bhavan' at the Kuhi sub-market, based on a 50% government subsidy, and the tender process for this project is also in progress.
The Committee regulates commodities such as cotton (both ginned and unginned), fresh and dried chilies, wheat, sorghum, paddy (rice), soybeans, pigeon peas (Tur), chickpeas (Chana), sesame, Ambadi, safflower, sunflower, green gram (Moong), black gram (Urad), lac, coriander, grass and cattle fodder, as well as livestock (cattle, goats, and sheep). For the purchase of these commodities, the Committee collects a market fee of ₹1.00 per ₹100 and a government supervision fee of ₹0.05 from the buyer; however, specifically for cotton, a combined market and supervision fee totaling ₹0.80 is collected from the trader.
