Sub Market, Kuhi

The site at Kuhi was officially declared a sub-market of the Committee on May 19, 2005. Since then, the Committee has constructed a 200-metric-ton capacity warehouse and an access road; additionally, through government assistance, a well, internal roads, restrooms, and urinals have been constructed. Furthermore, wire fencing has been erected along two sides of the Committee's premises, while the fencing for the remaining two sides is yet to be completed. Over the past four years, the Committee has successfully initiated both a cotton market and a grain market at the Kuhi sub-market, and it is currently receiving substantial cooperation from the farming community. Due to a lack of independent funds, the Committee faces difficulties in providing additional facilities. Nevertheless, during the 2017-18 fiscal year, the Committee constructed a 50-metric-ton capacity weighbridge, and weighing operations are currently being conducted on this scale. The construction of an auction platform measuring 9x12 meters—complete with an overhead shed—is nearing completion. Additionally, during the current fiscal year, the construction of another structure measuring 40x22.50 meters is underway. The Committee intends to undertake flooring work at the site mentioned below, and the tender process for this project is currently underway. Furthermore, approval has been granted for the construction of the 'Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Shetkari Bhavan' at the Kuhi sub-market, based on a 50% government subsidy, and the tender process for this project is also in progress.
